On February 7, 2025, Strickland expressed gratitude towards the Washington Association of Community Health for visiting her office in Washington D.C. She highlighted concerns over Medicaid and criticized President Elon Musk's healthcare policies. "Thank you, @WaAssociationCH, for stopping by my DC office. The following day, February 8, 2025, she addressed the financial impact of tariffs imposed during Donald Trump's presidency. She announced her support for the Prevent Tariff Abuse Act aimed at protecting the state's economy from losing billions due to these tariffs.
