Marilyn Strickland, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington's 10th district, has recently shared several updates on her legislative efforts and opinions via social media. Strickland, who succeeded Denny Heck in 2021, continues to focus on local economic development and healthcare issues.

On March 18, 2025, Strickland announced a collaboration between the Puyallup Tribe and Seaport Northwest aimed at creating jobs in the South Sound region. She expressed satisfaction with her work alongside Senator Cantwell to facilitate the return of additional land to the Puyallup Tribe for future economic development. "This is a big win for the #SouthSound. The @puyallup_tribe & @seaportNW are working together to bring jobs home."

Later that day, Strickland criticized the House GOP's healthcare policies. She highlighted their impact on vulnerable populations in her district by stating: "I've said it once, I'll say it again. The @HouseGop traded in #AppleHealth for their billionaire buddies." This statement pointed out that these policies affect thousands of seniors and children in South Sound.

On March 19, 2025, Strickland emphasized the importance of caregiving within the economy. She announced plans to introduce legislation with Representative Bryan Steil to support intergenerational caregiving partnerships between long-term care facilities and childcare programs: "Caregiving is a critical part of our economy, and it's being overlooked."
