On March 18, 2025, Strickland announced a collaboration between the Puyallup Tribe and Seaport Northwest aimed at creating jobs in the South Sound region. She expressed satisfaction with her work alongside Senator Cantwell to facilitate the return of additional land to the Puyallup Tribe for future economic development.
