Marilyn Strickland, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 10th district, has recently expressed her views on several issues through social media. Her tweets have covered topics ranging from international relations to local artistic initiatives.

On March 3, 2025, Strickland posted a tweet addressing the relationship between former President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. She stated: "You do know but are scared to say it out loud. Let me help. Trump is the puppet of Russian dictator Putin, and the GOP is now pro-Russia and anti-democracy. Your silence confirms it." This comment was directed towards the House Republican members.

Later that day, Strickland announced the return of the Congressional Art Competition with this year's theme being "Freedom." In her tweet she said: "The #CongressionalArtCompetition is back and this year’s theme is 'Freedom.' I look forward to seeing all the talent that the #SouthSound has to offer."

On March 4, 2025, Strickland expressed concerns about national security in relation to Trump's interactions with Putin. She tweeted: "This is a clear threat to our national security. While Trump is playing political games with Putin, he is threatening American interests and undermining our allies. America is less safe thanks to @POTUS."
