Marilyn Strickland, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Washington's 10th district, shared a series of tweets addressing various issues. Born in Seoul, South Korea, and residing in Tacoma, Strickland has been a congressional representative since 2021 after succeeding Denny Heck.

On February 1, 2025, Strickland acknowledged the significance of Black History Month by stating: "During #BlackHistoryMonth, we recognize the contributions and triumphs of Black Americans that have shaped this country. Black history is American history."

The following day, on February 2, she criticized fiscal policies from the previous administration: "Here’s how the Trump Tax steals from hard working Americans to line the pockets of his cronies."

Later that same day, Strickland highlighted her participation in a community event supporting military families: "Earlier this week, I joined @jblm_pao and the Armed Services YMCA to cut the ribbon on their new Children's Waiting Room. This resource will help ensure that military families have access to the care they need by providing quality childcare during medical appointments."
