On January 25, 2025, Congresswoman Strickland expressed concern over changes made by the Department of Defense's Defense Health Agency. She stated that "Due to this change from @DoD_DHA, dozens of constituents in #WA10 have been frustrated by the process of getting medical care. Mismanagement like this jeopardizes our preparedness, national security, recruitment, and retention."

The following day, January 26, 2025, she highlighted her participation in a local event celebrating Korean American Day with the WA-Tacoma Korean American Association. She noted the diverse contributions of the community by saying "Yesterday, I joined the WA-Tacoma Korean American Assoc. for their Korean American Day celebration. From faith leaders and small business owners to doctors and elected officials, our impact on this nation is immeasurable."

On January 27, 2025, Strickland marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a solemn message remembering those lost during the Holocaust. She emphasized ongoing vigilance against hate with her statement: "On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn the 6 million Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust. We must continue our fight against extremism. #NeverAgain can we allow antisemitism to take hold."
