Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, representing Washington’s 10th district since 2021, has made several statements on social media addressing pressing issues. Her recent posts reflect her stance on various topics ranging from political appointments to women's rights and firefighter safety.

On January 22, 2025, Strickland commented on the qualifications of a political figure for a defense department role. She expressed concerns about the individual's suitability by referencing family members' opinions: "First his mother, now his sister-in-law. The women in his own family know that he is dangerous, an abuser, and unfit to serve. He is egregiously unqualified to lead the defense department."

Later that day, she addressed the impact of changes to reproductive rights in the United States following the overturning of Roe v. Wade: "For nearly 50 years, #RoeVWade affirmed that women had the right to control their own lives. Republicans tore that right from them. Now, the health of pregnant moms and babies are threatened." She emphasized her opposition to what she describes as extremist interference in private medical decisions.

On January 23, 2025, Strickland highlighted legislative efforts related to military firefighters' exposure to hazardous chemicals: "While working to protect our communities, military firefighters are directly exposed to dangerous PFAS chemicals." Together with Rep. Mike Lawler, she announced a bipartisan bill aimed at securing compensation for affected firefighters.
