Lewis County Sheriff’s employees and others were applauded at an annual agency meeting Thursday in Chehalis.

“The sacrifices you make are immeasurable,” Lewis County Sheriff Rob Snaza told the county’s deputies. “You’re never afraid to get into the fray to protect an innocent child who has been abused or save a suspect's life, whatever it’s been you’ve been there.”

Lifesaving Awards were presented to Sheriff’s Deputy Doug Lowrey and Corrections Deputies Aaron Parypa, Rebecca Snaza and Jonah Yost.

Employee of the Year Awards for 2022 went to Deputy Chris Rubin, Corrections Deputy Aaron Parypa and Support staff member Debbie Schang. Corrections Deputy Kelly Palacios received recognition as the Corrections Bureau Top Performer.

“We are the calm in the midst of a storm,” Sheriff Snaza added. “We are the individuals, when someone needs help, that they call and together we are the best.”

Sheriff Snaza concluded the banquet honoring Support Technician Lori Pulver with a special Warrior of the Year Award for her unwavering work ethic throughout the year while battling cancer.
