In an effort to reduce trash along county roads the Lewis County Board of Commissioners is encouraging volunteers and businesses to join the Lewis County Adopt-A-Road litter

pick-up program.

“It’s a good way for the citizens to come together and take some pride in their community,” said Lewis County Solid Waste Utility Manager Rocky Lyon. “It’s an opportunity to

contribute to a cleaner environment and establish stewardship of public lands.”

Volunteers are required to complete a safety training and commit to two clean-up days a year. Since January, an estimated 16,652 pounds of litter has been picked up alongside

many of the 1,053 miles of county roads in Lewis County.

You can call 360-740-1451 to request an application for the Adopt-A-Road program or learn more on line at https://lewiscountywa.gov/.../solid.../adopt-road-program/
