Empty Bowls Event Creates Art for a Cause

Bowls

The Shelton Arts Commission is pleased to donate $2,044 to The Saint's Pantry Food Bank from participant donations at the 16th annual Empty Bowls.

The final evening of this year's Empty Bowls event occurred on May 18 and featured food from CJ's Corner, Kern's Kitchen, Olympic Bakery & Deli, Smoking Mo's, Taylor Shellfish, and Wild & Woodsy Catering. These businesses generously donated soup and bread for attendees to enjoy.

Empty Bowls is a creative effort to fight hunger in our community that takes place over three evenings. Participants build their bowls on the first night, followed by glazing the following week. On the third night, participants could donate $10 to The Saints Pantry and enjoy some soup and bread. All Empty Bowls proceeds go to The Saint's Pantry.
