Last weekend, Quixote Communities held a volunteer work party with the Mason Conservation District and the local Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 11-1 to pull out scotch broom as part of the Veterans Village site preparation. We provided dump assistance for the scotch broom.

Thank you to all the volunteers who participated! The Shelton Veterans Village is scheduled to open in May 2023. If you’d like to get involved with future volunteer opportunities, email volunteer@quixotecommunities.org.

Quixote Communities is developing the Shelton Veterans Village for 30 homeless veterans living in Mason County. Quixote Communities will provide housing, case management, and supportive services to the veterans. Operations funding will be provided by the Bremerton Housing Authority, Medina Foundation, and Puget Sound Energy. The site is being leased by the City of Shelton. You can find more info on the Quixote Communities website: quixotecommunities.org.
