Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, who represents Washington’s 10th district, shared updates on her recent activities in the South Sound region through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) in mid-February 2026.
On February 14, Strickland posted a message to her constituents, stating, “Happy Valentine’s Day, #WA10! It is always an honor to serve, and represent the mighty #SouthSound. #ValentinesDay”.
Later that day, she highlighted community engagement around Valentine’s Day with another post: “40+ Schools & groups participated
90+ Vet. & First Responders delivered to
3,500 Valentines created
Today, I had the honor of delivering valentines to our #SouthSound veterans and first responders. Our community is forever grateful for your dedication and sacrifice.” The post underscored efforts by local schools and organizations to recognize veterans and first responders in the area.
On February 15, Strickland discussed her meeting with military personnel at Joint Base Lewis-McChord: “Met with @I_Corps at @JBLM_PAO to hear what our servicemembers need, and how Congress can support readiness. I will always advocate for the needs of those that protect our nation.”
Strickland has previously served as a Republican representative in the North Carolina State House beginning in 2017 for the state’s 28th House district after succeeding James Langdon Jr., before representing Washington’s 10th district.
