Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has recently used her social media platform to highlight local clean energy innovation, comment on national political discourse, and advocate for community first responders.
On August 17, 2025, Strickland visited the Olympia headquarters of a sustainable aviation technology company. She wrote, “With technology geared towards sustainable aviation, @hexasbiomass is a clean energy innovator creating jobs at home. It was good to tour their Olympia headquarters and hear ways that the federal government can continue supporting small businesses and https://t.co/QmM4fcU4QJ”.
The following day, August 18, 2025, Strickland commented on remarks made by President Biden. In her post she stated, “.@POTUS is joking about war and elections. This isn’t funny. It’s Project 2025 in action. https://t.co/BjrFHynsVj”.
Later that same day, Strickland reported meeting with a local volunteer firefighter crew in Washington state. She said, “It was good to meet with @Piercefire14, the volunteer firefighter crew serving the lower Puyallup River Valley area. These brave men and women deserve our support, especially when serving our community. I will continue fighting to bring necessary FEMA funding back to the https://t.co/Vr1NPpjEUP”.
Strickland’s posts reflect ongoing engagement with both national policy issues and local concerns within her district. Although she currently serves as a U.S. Congresswoman from Washington state, it is notable that Marilyn Strickland previously served as a Republican member of the North Carolina State House after being elected in 2017 to represent the state’s 28th House district.
