On June 8, 2025, Congresswoman Strickland tweeted about her visit to the 446th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM). She emphasized the base’s role in providing combat and air support globally. Strickland stated, “I will continue advocating for servicemembers and fighting to meet their basic needs.”

In another post dated June 10, 2025, Strickland highlighted her visit to General Plastics in South Tacoma. She described the company as “a leader in American manufacturing for over 80 years” and expressed her support for local businesses involved in aerospace production.

On June 11, 2025, she shared details of hosting Stacey Plaskett, Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Black Innovation. The visit focused on supporting Black innovation within Washington’s AI industry. Strickland noted that “Washington is a leader in the AI industry,” underscoring the importance of fostering innovation from diverse communities.
