On June 6, 2025, Congresswoman Strickland commemorated the bravery of World War II veterans. She stated: “Today, we honor the veterans on the beaches of Normandy who paved the way to victory & freedom during WWII. Their bravery and sacrifice for our country will always be remembered.”

Later that day, she expressed her concerns regarding Republican policies in a critical tweet. She wrote: “Don’t let the Real Housewives of DC distract you from the fact that the GOP wants to snatch food from children, kick elders out of nursing homes and take healthcare from millions of Americans. #LyingAndStealing”

On June 7, 2025, Congresswoman Strickland celebrated National Trails Day by highlighting a recent achievement in local infrastructure funding. She tweeted: “On #NationalTrailsDay we celebrate nature and the trails around us.
