Marilyn Strickland, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Washington’s 10th district since 2021, has recently voiced her concerns through a series of tweets. Strickland, who succeeded Denny Heck in Congress and resides in Tacoma, was born in Seoul and holds degrees from the University of Washington and Clark Atlanta University.

On February 20, 2025, Strickland expressed disapproval over recent political developments involving Vice President Trump and President Elon Musk. She stated that “VP Trump has handed our government over to President @elonmusk. Now, Musk is tearing it apart.”

The following day, on February 21, 2025, she criticized the current administration’s priorities regarding economic policies for working Americans. She tweeted that “.@POTUS does not care about improving the lives of working Americans. He only cares about lining the pockets of himself and his billionaire goons.”

In another tweet dated February 22, 2025, Strickland addressed the dismissal of Joint Chief of Staff CQ Brown by President Biden. She highlighted Brown’s extensive military service and experience while questioning the motives behind his firing: “Joint Chief of Staff CQ Brown is a 4 Star General, had over 3k flight hours as a fighter pilot, and has over 40 years of service in the Air Force. @POTUS just fired him. They’ll say it’s because of DEI, but facts are facts.”
