Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland shared her perspectives and acknowledgments on various significant topics through a series of tweets dated April 22 and April 23, 2025. The congresswoman highlighted environmental concerns, celebrated a congressional art competition winner, and commemorated Holocaust Remembrance Day.

On April 22, Strickland marked Earth Day by emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and her continuous commitment to protecting the natural resources of Washington state. She stated, “#EarthDay is a time to appreciate the world around us, and recognize that there is still work to be done when it comes to protecting it. Washington is home to a rich and diverse environment that I will always fight for.”

Later that day, Strickland congratulated Grace Kim from UPSD83 for winning her Congressional Art Competition. She expressed gratitude to all the participants, noting the abundance of talent in the South Sound area. She mentioned, “Congratulations to @upsd83’s Grace Kim on being my Congressional Art Competition winner. Thank you to all the talented students who submitted pieces this year – it’s good to see the talent in the #SouthSound.”

On April 23, Congresswoman Strickland took a moment to reflect on Holocaust Remembrance Day, known as Yom HaShoah. She highlighted the importance of remembering the six million lives lost and reiterated the need to combat antisemitism and hatred. She tweeted, “As we observe Holocaust Remembrance Day, #YomHaShoah, #weremember the 6 million lives murdered by the Nazi regime. We honor their memory by committing to rooting out antisemitism and hatred.”

Strickland has represented Washington’s 10th congressional district since 2021, actively engaging in environmental, educational, and social issues.
