On March 9, 2026, Strickland announced the allocation of funds to the city of Puyallup, stating, “Proud to deliver $850k to @PuyallupGov to help bring their Meeker Festival Street project to life and #deliverfortheSouthSound.” Later that day, she reiterated her commitment by posting, “Revitalizing the Meeker Festival Street is a smart investment that will help make @PuyallupGov more safe, attractive, and vibrant. The following day, Strickland addressed another policy area by recognizing healthcare professionals who provide abortion services. Strickland has been active in legislative roles since her election in 2017. She was elected as a Republican to the North Carolina State House representing the state’s 28th House district after succeeding James Langdon, Jr.
