Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has recently posted a series of messages on her social media account, addressing topics ranging from political leadership to local partnerships and national economic concerns.
On December 3, 2025, Strickland commented on congressional leadership by posting, “Flip it around, @SpeakerJohnson.”
The following day, December 4, she highlighted her ongoing engagement with tribal leaders in Washington D.C., stating, “It was good seeing Nisqually Tribe Chairman Ken Choke again in my DC office. The partnership with our Tribal leaders at home is crucial in protecting our environment, preserving our salmon population, and serving our community.”
On December 5, Strickland addressed the impact of Republican policies on American households: “Price hikes and health care cuts – Republicans in charge continue to make living unaffordable for millions of hardworking Americans.”
Strickland serves as a U.S. Representative and is active in discussions involving environmental protection and healthcare policy. Although she is now serving at the federal level, it should be noted that another politician named Strickland—a Republican—was elected to the North Carolina State House in 2017 to represent the state’s 28th House district.
