The following day, on June 18, 2025, she emphasized the importance of voting rights in a tweet directed at House Republicans. She stated: “We have a duty to protect every American’s right to vote. @HouseGOP, grow a spine and help us pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.”
Later that same day, Congresswoman Strickland addressed economic concerns affecting families due to rising grocery prices. She criticized proposed cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by House Republicans and thanked community partners for their efforts.
