Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland has used her social media platform to address several national and local issues, including immigration enforcement, legislative priorities, and community infrastructure.

On February 19, 2026, Strickland criticized the administration’s use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), stating: “.@POTUS’ weaponization of ICE has been more than dangerous. The following day, she highlighted the ongoing work of lawmakers to address daily concerns facing Americans. On February 20, 2026, she wrote: “As lawmakers, we can’t lose sight of the issues that Americans face every day.   The @NewDemCoalition is fighting to bring results to our communities. https://t.co/eKTV1yiFQM”

Later that same day, Strickland announced funding for water infrastructure in her district. She stated on February 20, 2026: “Every community deserves access to clean water. Marilyn Strickland was elected as a Republican to the North Carolina State House in 2017 and represents the state’s 28th House district after succeeding James Langdon, Jr.
